His destiny was already chosen at His birth.
He was the salvation for all created on earth.

No greater love was ever manifested again.
He was the propitiation, that covered all sin.

He was bruised for all our transgressions;
Despised and rejected by countless millions.

He left a trail of blood, as He climbed that hill.
So that prophecies about Him, He would fulfill.

He never complained or tried to neglect the task.
He did much, much more than we could ever ask,

Most of His friends denied they'd ever knew Him.
If only they had known, He was the Great "I am".

As they drove the nails in His hands and feet
He knew Satan was receiving his greatest defeat.

Sin would loose it's stronghold on the hearts of men.
In it's place, would be great joy and peace within.

The Savior of the world shed His blood that day.
No greater sacrifice, again, could anyone ever pay.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
So to be with Him someday, we should endeavor.
